diet coke
Designed by Lisa Pace

A love affair lasting 20 years and still counting! Designer Lisa Pace creates a personal page honoring her favorite soda with plenty of pop and fizz embellishments like the red and silver sequins and real metal tabs from a Coke can. As she affectionately journals: “There’s just one Diet Coke, and you’re the one for me.”

Instructions
1. Cut one 1-3/4" x 10-1/2" rectangle (small) and one 6-1/4" x 11" rectangle (large) from Worn Blue Grid patterned paper, and one 7-3/4" x 9-3/4" rectangle from the star side and one 5" x 5-1/4" rectangle from the red side of the Sailmaker Lane patterned paper. Referring to pattern for placement, measure 3/4" up from the bottom edge of the Kraft cardstock and adhere the large rectangle evenly spaced between both sides. Measure 1-1⁄8" down from the top edge of the page and with right sides flush, adhere the small rectangle. Measure 2-1/4" down from the top edge of the page and with right sides flush, adhere the star side of the Sailmaker Lane rectangle. Then measure 1-1/2" up from the bottom edge and 1-1/2" in from the right edge of the page and adhere the red side of the Sailmaker Lane rectangle. Use the sewing machine and white thread to zigzag stitch all the way around each rectangle.
2. Adhere the photo corners to the photo, then measure 2-3/4" down from the top edge and 1-1⁄8" in from the left edge of the page and adhere photo as shown.
3. Use the paintbrush to apply one coat of red paint to the chipboard letters. Allow to dry, then use the Silver pen to outline each letter. Arrange the letters along the top of the photo as shown. When satisfied with the arrangement, adhere in place.
4. Use the Black ink pad and alphabet stamps to stamp “diet” along the top of the page, referring to project photo for placement.
5. Print journaling onto cream paper. Cut out in word strips as desired, then adhere to the bottom left side of the page, referring to project photo for placement.
6. Arrange the Newsprint chipboard letters to spell “20 years,” “of POP and Fizz,” and the tag maker
rims onto the page, referring to project photo for placement. When satisfied with the arrangement, adhere in place. Adhere a can tab inside each tag maker rim as shown.
7. Randomly adhere Red and Silver sequins along the right side of the page as shown in the project photo.
8. Use the hole punch to punch three holes evenly spaced in the bottom left corner of the red side of the Sailmaker Lane rectangle. Insert one brad into each hole, bending prongs open on the back.
