My Belly at 37.5 Weeks
Designed by Liana Suwandi
sweet brotherhood

A reflective moment for petite designer Liana Suwandi upon hearing she was carrying twins is captured in two photos. Her journaling reveals that the concerns running through her head at the time were a little premature, as she carried both delightful daughters almost to full term. Liana used leftover scraps and embellishments to create her charming layout, confirming that saving all those bits and pieces we all have tucked away is really a good thing. For ease in creating this layout, a pattern has been provided.

Instructions

Referring to pattern for placement, cut one 5" x 12" rectangle from mini red dot on tan patterned paper. Measure 2⅜" up from bottom of mini blue dot patterned paper and horizontally adhere. Cut one 6½" x 9" from black print patterned paper, using Butterfly Decorative Edge Punch to punch along one short side. Measure 1¼" in from right side and adhere onto layout as shown. Print or handwrite journaling onto lined paper of choice and cut into a rectangle. Arrange journaled rectangle, photos, scalloped border strips, rub-ons, crystal flourishes of choice, and other embellishment desired onto layout as shown. Machine zigzag stitch as desired.

Journaling: 37.5 weeksthat’s how long I carried both of you in my tummy. When I found out I was pregnant with twins, I was not sure that I would be able to carry you to full term (38 weeks is full term for twins), knowing that I’m petite in size. But, I did make it almost to full term.
