Are You Addicted to Scrapbooking?
How can you tell if you're truly addicted to scrapbooking? Much like any other addiction, there are telltale signs ...
Have you heard about UniKeep's $10,000 Design contest?
Design a binder cover and you could win cash! Five winners are selected each month ... over $10,000 in total cash and prizes. Contest runs until 12/31/07, so there's still plenty of time to get in on the action.
Join us in Huntsville, Alabama, October 4-6 to indulge in a wonderful weekend of classes and crops. Help make a difference in someone's life by donating pages for scrapbooks to give to the recipients of Make-A-Wish Foundation. Last year's project collected over 5,000 thousand scrapbook pages with our winner of the grand prize, Hiddi Beard of College Grove, Tennessee, contributing over 900 pages! Click here for more info.
A Place for Everything
This sassy basket is good for way more than "waste"! I've made three of them to store out-of-season shoes. I have a friend who is going to make one with different images to hold toys in her kids' playroom. I appreciate the way Connie looked beyond the everyday to create a cool and clever project, an ode to the perfect pair of shoes!
Do you enjoy taking photos at night? Are sunsets, concerts, or fireworks among your favorite subjects? Lose the flash and capture extraodinary low light photos with just a camera and tripod!
Considered both an art and a craft, batik is a method of using wax and dyes to create a design on cloth. Designer Patti Behan shares a similar technique substituting paper for cloth and ink for dye. The results are spectacular. Designs can be as simple or as detailed as you desire.
When Catherine Scanlon made these tiles for use in her kitchen, I asked her if it would be possible to show them as a project. (Of course she said yes!) We hope you’ll make them for use as wall tiles, floor tiles, coasters, or even to frame as a piece of art. The possibilities are as monumental as the subject matter!

Background Check
Each of us has our own individual style that we showcase in the clothes we wear, the car we drive, and the way we decorate our homes. Why not extend your style sense to your computer wallpaper? With a little imagination, savvy photography, scanning, and Adobe Photoshop Elements, you can create a background that is truly a reflection of you (and impress your friends and co-workers in the process).
